Certification

In recent years, security issues have not come cheap and can be counted in billions just to mention cybercrime. Extended entreprise, Internet of Things, Bring Your Own Device, increased regulatory constraints, security has become an obligation. But beyond our own governance, it is also a matter of trust between us because every day we carry out services and projects for you. You can entrust us with your data and give us access to your IS in all serenity.

Umanis has implemented an information security management system (ISMS) and an information system security policy. All employees are aware of good practices and are under the obligation to take the whole related online training. Systems and network developers and administrators get advanced training. In terms of data protection, servers and workstations are encrypted as well as sensitive messages. In terms of development, security is integrated into all our project methodologies. We use static and dynamic test automation software to ensure perfectly secure development. Our service centers are secure locations with physical protection of premises, clean rooms and partitioning on demand.

Securitis, our security organization, is responsible for risk assessment, analysis and control. It ensures compliance with good practices on a daily basis. In 2017, Umanis succed to obtain ISO 27001 certification. Since 2018, Umanis is also member of Clusif (French Information Security Club).

Delivering services and projects that may meet your expectations is our “raison d'être”. To ensure this quality over time, Umanis has set up a Quality and Environment Management System (QEMS) that ensures the proper functioning of our processes: anticipation and risk management, measurement of control points and monitoring of performance indicators. Every two years, our customer satisfaction survey allows us to measure the effectiveness of our continuous improvement process and our procedures. Umanis is certified ISO 9001 version 2008 and is engaged in the certification process of the 2015 version around 2018.

Although our business has a limited impact on the environment, Umanis has implemented various actions to reduce our environmental footprint. We have set up selective waste sorting and recycling on all our sites. We save paper by de-materializing our internal procedures. We have replaced the so-called "desktop" printers by collective printers set in two-sided mode by default. Computer and telecom equipment is systematically recycled and used furniture is recovered for restoration by specialized organizations. Our power consumption is also monitored. We promote the sharing of our fleet vehicles and encourage videoconference meetings as often as possible to limit travels. Umanis is certified ISO 14001 version 2004 and is engaged in the process of certification to the 2015 version around 2018

Our employees are our main asset and we take care of them. In terms of career management, we go beyond regulatory minima. Since 2010, in addition to end-of-project assessments, each employee has a professional interview to discuss the interest and environment of their work, the benefits or the concerns encountered, their career development wishes, etc. The “Gestion Provisionnelle des Emplois et des Carrrières”(GPEC) (improved job planning and career development management), has been set up to provide a global mapping of skills and visibility on individual career paths.

Every year, Umanis strongly commits to improving the know-how-to-be and the know-how of employees through individual coaching, extensive certification programs on leading software technologies and training on emerging technologies. Umanis also promotes geographical as well as professional mobility with an entity dedicated to these projects. In order to better integrate new employees and monitor their employability over time, Umanis has also set up internal universities around topics such as communication, management, project management…

Still under- represented in the world of the Digital Services Companies and anxious to change the perspective on handicap, Umanis launched its handicap mission 6 years ago. Its aim is to promote the integration of people with disabilities. It puts in place recruitment actions, specific training, awareness-raising and offers a protected and adapted environment. In the summer 2016, Umanis performed a diagnosis to further improve its disability policy. Umanis is also a community with a strong sense of belonging, with monthly meetings on all sites, at the "Umanis Thursdays ", with exchanges via our social channels and with engagements via USport, our sports Association. In 2009, Umanis signed an agreement related to the employment of seniors. Umanis also signed the Diversity Charter in 2008 and the United Nations Global Compact in 2012.
